The Caldwell Catalogue

Patrick Moore created the Caldwell catalogue (his full name is Patrick Caldwell-Moore) in response to the Messier catalogue. It contains his favourite 110 non-Messier objects arranged from North to South and covering the entire sky.  This means that only the first 67 objects are visible from my Latitude (51°08m N) – and the last few only just!

Most of the images were taken using a SXV-H9 CCD camera through a TEC140 or TAK Sky90.  A small number of older shots were taken through a 12” Meade LX200.

My Caldwell Catalogue Gallery is best viewed with screen resolutions of 1024*768 or higher.
